• I am an assaciate professor and associate chair of the Abilene Computer Science department at Texas Tech University at Abilene.
• Texas tech at Abilene is wonderful.
• Texas Tech is located in Lubbock, Texas, which is right in the middle of some of the most beautiful countryside on earth... just 400 miles away in any direction.
• I earned my PhD in 1999 from the Computer Science department at Colorado State University. My advisor was Adele Howe
• I worked in the Artificial Intelligence Team at Texaco for a couple of years after earning my MS degree.
• I earned my BS and MS degrees from Texas Tech University.
• I was born in Midland, Texas which is even more desolate than Lubbock, and grew up on a cotton farm in the desert 15 miles from a wide spot in the road known as Midkiff. When I was 15, my parents sold the cotton farm and moved to Paris, Texas, where they bought a ranch without any cattle. I decided to break with tradition and pursue education.
