LAPTOP PROGRAM
Computer Science undergraduate students admitted to the Computer Science program in the Fall 2008 or later will be required to have a laptop computer. Students should purchase a laptop which meets the department's software and network configuration requirements as stated below in the laptop requirement section. Students should have their laptops when they enroll in their first programming course, typically CS 1411. Students enrolled in CS 1305 will not be required to have a laptop for that course.

These recommendations are designed to provide students with the basic specification for purchasing a computer and also to be upgradable (if it is required) in order to last for the duration of the academic program.
