Something about Larry

• I am an assistant professor in the Computer Science department at Texas Tech University. Texas Tech is located in Lubbock, Texas, which is right in the middle of some of the most beautiful countryside on earth... just 400 miles away in any direction.
• I earned my PhD in 1999 from the Computer Science department at Colorado State University. My advisor was Adele Howe
• I worked in the Artificial Intelligence Team at Texaco for a couple of years after earning my MS degree.
• I earned my BS and MS degrees from Texas Tech University.
• I was born in Midland, Texas which is even more desolate than Lubbock, and grew up on a cotton farm in the desert 15 miles from a wide spot in the road known as Midkiff. When I was 15, my parents sold the cotton farm and moved to Paris, Texas, where they bought a ranch without any cattle. I decided to break with tradition and pursue education.
• My Myers-Briggs personality Type Indicator is INTP.
